After disembarking through a jet bridge or a shuttle, depending on your airline, you just need to follow the ‘Exit’ signs. Arrivals at Malpensa Airport in Milan can take time as Terminal 1 is fairly large. You may need to walk for a while before reaching passport controls or the baggage claim area.

Generally, you will not need to go through passport controls if you are an EU citizen travelling from a country within the Schengen area. If not, you can use one of the eGates to complete the checks or wait for a Customs officer to control your document.

Once you have completed the identity checks, you can follow the signs to the baggage claim area to get your bags if you have any. If not, you can head towards the exit and continue your journey. 

If you’re coming from outside the European Union and have pre-filled a customs declaration during your flight, you must make one last stop at the Customs office before exiting.

There are about 10,000 parking spaces at Malpensa Airport Arrivals, catering to short—and long-term stays, on top of 1,600 parking bays for pick-ups and drop-offs. P1, P3, and P4 are near Terminal 1, while P5 and P6 are close to Terminal 2. Premium parking with extra space and security is available in P2.
